Aaron Alter has served as the Director of IT at Protax, LLC since 1994. Initially hired as an independent consultant when the company operated out of the founder’s home using 286 computers and a DOS operating system, Aaron quickly became a key player as the company’s technological needs expanded.

Over the years, Aaron has been instrumental in guiding Protax, LLC through major technological advancements, including the early adoption of a company website and cell phone technology. His expertise was crucial as Protax, LLC invested heavily in advanced computing systems, networks, servers, workstations, multifunctional devices (fax/copiers/scanners), complex databases with multiple software management programs, and extensive data storage capabilities.

With Aaron’s guidance, Protax, LLC emerged as a trailblazer in the property tax appeals industry, leveraging cutting-edge technology to support remote employees and independent contractors worldwide, long before this became common practice. Aaron has been the technological backbone of Protax, LLC, seamlessly integrating state-of-the-art technology with top-tier personnel to drive the company’s success in the highly competitive field of property tax appeals. His technical prowess has been the foundation of his professional career over the past four decades.
